I’m a job seeker and I don't have a Social Insurance Number (SIN). What should I do?

Job Bank offers various resources to help job seekers without a Social Insurance Number (SIN). You can:

  • Browse job postings to find opportunities.
  • Access labour market information for insights on jobs and wages.
  • Subscribe to Job Alerts to get email notifications about new job postings that match your search criteria.
  • Create a Standard account to use the Resume Builder, track your favourited jobs and monitor your job search activity.
  • Use the Job Bank mobile app to search for jobs on the go (available only in Canada).

Need a Social Insurance Number (SIN)?
Learn how to apply on the Government of Canada’s SIN application page.

Note:  If you are a foreign job seeker, you can apply for the Express Entry program through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Your Express Entry credentials will allow you to create a Plus account on Job Bank.
